Does The 'Lewis & Sizzle' Piece Go Too Far?

Thought I’d toss this bit of inner turmoil out to all of you, for your feedback.
Yesterday I published a satirical piece. After time away from the article, I’ve re-read it and wonder if I crossed a threshold in the piece.
Before you vote in the poll below, hopefully you’ve read the article, obviously, but please give another look at Davante’s post, to the elevated importance he gives this event.
To me, everything about this is deserving of our scorn and mockery; we should be unbridled - but clever - in our ridicule for all the things Leftists do that make this sort of messaging seem sensible.
I see this messaging as manipulative and cruel:
Pay Up! Big Oil, or “our lives will be lost”
Lewis’ messaging is as ridiculous as the ‘Blue Post’ …
