Increase the character number per Tweet?

Elon Musk has floated the plan to increase the character limit on historically-short Tweets.

We at The BEC prefer shorter, as we’re not likely to read beyond the first couple sentences, and frankly, we enjoy refining our Tweets to succinct, precise statements with clear intention.
