Imagine a bit-of-a-rabble-rouser is on Twitter pushing the buttons of an obnoxious Marxist who shoves his TwitterNose into every local, state, and national issue all the time whether or not it has anything to do with his politically-elected role as a state utility regulator. This Marxist narcissist posts nearly every aspect of his life on social media, and that bit-of-rabble-rouser sometimes makes a reference to those aspects, publicly displayed for all to see.
Without having made any pejorative comment on those parts of the Marxist’s public life - simply making reference to them - the rabble-rouser gets this message from a “Conservative” who has been watching the Twittersphere, seeing the button-pushing in real time.
“As a Conservative, I don’t have any positive feelings for Mr Lewis, but I do find your criticisms to be bizarre and ineffective. If I was an independent, this series of messages would make me feel positively towards him.”
The bit-of-a-rabble-rouser reacts with a pronounced “Hmmmmm?” So he reaches out to the “Conservative” about it and receives this explanation:
I have plenty of gay Republican supporters and Black moderate/independent supporters so when I see conservatives just blanket hating on gays or minorities I feel compelled to speak up and try to keep our tent as big as possible. We need all the support we can get. The straight white man ain't gonna do shit in New Orleans.
What did the bit-of-a-rabble-rouser say that prompted this accusation of “blanket hating on gays and minorities”?
THAT, my friends, is “blanket hating on gays and minorities.” That. That’s it. That’s all there was to it. THAT.
That right there triggered a “Conservative” into publicly scolding the bit-of-a-rabble-rouser… that right there.
The bit-of-a-rabble-rouser had seen this post from the Marxist:
The Marxist “joined” but didn’t throw a hammer or anything. He donned a hard hat and took some pictures and hit the “Send” button on his phone.
Perhaps Conservatives should care more about defending our culture, our society, our children, our economy, and our power production systems instead of caring about the “feels” of an overly-ambitious childish Marxist who shoves his TwitterNose into every issue everywhere all the time.
This, my friends, is why and how Conservatives lose. Because this “Conservative” is among the Republican power-players in Orleans Parish.
“Wait a minute!” you say, “There are ‘Republican power players in Orleans Parish’?"
Exactly.
And speaking as the bit-of-a-rabble-rouser, I’m rather sick of losing and sick of the mindset of losing and sick of the certainty of always losing.
No wonder New Orleans hasn’t seen anything but Democrat leadership for more than a century - and there’s not any Conservative leadership coming anywhere on the horizon, either. Especially when the “Conservatives” aren’t much conservative at all.
