We are Here to Stay So Bring It On

The BEC is a now-permanent component of New Orleans life. Though new, we have planted our Standard. A community that only grows, we have faith in God and our values are true; we fully trust one another.

As we witness powerful media forces target innocent people, we defend the innocent. When local and state governments reach beyond their mandate, we will work to keep them in check. When injustices happen to members of our community, we will marshal the forces needed to provide help.

We will defend the unborn, always and in every circumstance. We will also defend and support the young mothers who courageously bring their child to term and parent the new life in their arms. We hope we can offer support to FATHERS as well. We will help all we can, as we can. And if the young mother chooses adoption for her child, we will support her. This said, the nuclear family - a father, mother and children… a husband and a wife - is the elemental component of society and we implore young people to have a job, get married, have sex after the ceremony, and love your kids. Divorce is not an option when you say “till death do us part.”

We defend life because it is created by God; we defend the family because it is evidence of the Trinity; we will sacrifice because children are worth the sacrifice. There are no circumstances where children sacrifice for their elders, as we have seen with the pandemic.

We oppose lockdowns, mandates, forced masking, forced vaccinations, threats of unemployment, leverage of losing one’s paycheck; we oppose the “expertism” that our opponents use to embolden their positions, which we know are bunk, harmful and prone to abuse.

We believe in bodily autonomy, an individual’s absolute right to determine his or her own personal boundaries. (When the abortionists wish to turn this position upon us, we will counter: “What about the autonomy of the woman who chose to allow a man to be with her? Who allowed herself to receive his influence upon her body? What about then?”)

We will be clear-eyed about the consequences of poor decisions. If you screw up, you may be on your own. Good luck.

Men are men. Women are women. Men cannot be women. Women cannot be men. Children are not to be experimented upon with gender-changing chemicals and procedures.

We believe in the individual, his autonomy, his power, his liberty, his right to own property.

We oppose ‘woke’ because we’ve never been ‘asleep.’

We are going nowhere, because TRUTH is forever.

Our culture is enduring a vicious attack from the transgressive Left; they leave nothing unbroken: schools, churches, hospitals, statues, corporations… even jokes.

Children doubt their gender, doubt if the planet will burn to a crisp before they graduate college, doubt if they’re not virus bombs that might kill their grandparents. (Children are prescribed SSRI medications at alarming rates: go read the side-effects of them and let’s talk about gun control.)

None of us relish this “culture war.”

Just a decade ago what we’ve written here would seem over-the-top and silly and fanatical and tin-hat-foily and maybe even a bit dumb.

Sorry to say, it’s not only not hyperbolic or dumb but it may not fully capture the moment as it is.
