The Annual NAKED BIKE RIDE Event is This Saturday Through the Bywater and French Quarter
Here's how to shut it down:
Things have simply gone too far. Yes, New Orleans is the City that Care Forgot. Yes, we have Mardi Gras here.
But the current environment of permissiveness has crossed a threshold into an indulgence that offends: the Naked Bike Ride as just one example.
Event organizers have been approved for the shutting down of streets and a police escort for an event that enables the illegal activity of public nudity.
Many people might be scantily clad; many others - men and women alike - will be fully naked. It is beyond inappropriate; it is unlawful.
The permit is listed in the City’s One-Stop App under the code: 0CMFWW. (That is a ‘zero’ to start not a letter)
We implore you to email Council Member Freddie King at:
Freddie.King@NOLA.gov
Ask him to intervene and shut down this parade, happening Saturday evening.
You can call his office, too: 504 658 1030. The secretary will not likely connect you to Mr King, but you can ask, and you can tell her the reason for your call: to demand Councilman King intervene and withdraw the permit for this event.
It’s all gone too far, friends. It’s past time to shut it down. Email right now; don’t delay.
Thank you…
