"Imagination Movers" Drummer Carjacked In Front of His Own Home
But this is NOT why New Orleans sucks (?)
Kyle Melancon, drummer for the popular children’s entertainment group “Imagination Movers,” took to Twitter to announce that he is yet one more victim of the criminal class who dominate the streets of New Orleans. But note that while he is in shock from the experience, it is not to be suggested that “New Orleans sucks” because of the crime problem…
Perhaps cementing my reputation as the guy in the room who says what needs to be said - and asks what needs to be asked - I asked WHY we can’t reply with “New Orleans sucks” because of crime.
I’m certain it won’t go over well, because the Leftists who think this way consider it a betrayal - God knows a betrayal of what? - to admit that New Orleans is suffering from violent crime.
Our guess is it would be too revealing of the Left’s incompetence and vapid ethics for them to ever acknowledge that they made the city what it has become.
Kyle seems a really nice guy, though, and it’s awful that this has happened to him.
He posts things like this, which really warms the heart…
Learning about this very real, very on-the-ground event that happened to a regular good guy just going about his life, I’m reminded of the sort of person that shares much of the blame for the condition of New Orleans, and this may at first be unexpected, but stick with me here.
This fellow:
He describes himself as working in the renewable energy field at Tulane, but check out the condescending attitude that certainly characterizes his every interaction…
You pity Joshua; I pity Joshua; Joshua does NOT pity you! Because “being an academic” is “hard" on him. YOU have not been “trained” to have your opinions and thoughts… you know, to THINK as an individual.
About “the importance of teaching,” YOU NEED JOSHUA to “train” you, or else it’ll be “hard” for him “as an academic.”
Never mind that renewables don’t renew themselves and that they’re an ever-less-useful and affordable way to provide power… ignore all that, you dunce!
You need Joshua and all the other “academics” to “train” you in everything from “Getting carjacked in front of your house isn’t why New Orleans sucks” to “Renewables will power the world.”
the bec
P.S.
A note about “renewables.”
The New York State Energy and Research Authority has reported that wind developers are asking for an average 48% price adjustment in their contracts to cover rising costs. The Alliance For Clean Energy of New York is requesting an average 64% price increase on 86 solar and wind projects as costs are increasing faster than both inflation and the tax credits offered to these companies by the federal government in the “Inflation Reduction Act” - which, of course, has caused massive inflation.
Solar projects here in Louisiana have been cancelled because of rising costs, too.
You might wonder if my mash-up of “carjacking” and a “renewables academic” is too much of a stretch, but it’s not.
Leftist elitism is the common theme here, as it has ruined our city and our culture; it’s destroying our nation. And yes, without a doubt, Joshua Basseches and the guy who pulled a gun on a drummer both swim in the same nasty, corrosive waters. The two of them are far more alike than either Joshua or Kyle could ever admit.
Did you see how Kyle “Doesn’t” want to talk about it. . . Then DELETE IT 😏
