Our friends at Citizens for A New Louisiana summed it up nicely!
And the bill by Representative Firment has been attached to another as an amendment, though this is a procedural maneuver that I admit I cannot fully understand. I’m not alone in that, as even some legislature journalists need clarification, too.
Fred Mills still seems to control the fate of the bill, however, as he could pull his own bill.
Mills delivered a farewell speech to the state senate yesterday. He has been in the legislature a long time, has made many friends, and is generally highly regarded. He told stories that had everyone in stitches.
It’s disappointing his legislative accomplishments did not include passage of a bill intended to protect children from the predations of transgenderists…
Predators like this man, Tiffany, a doctor who presents publicly as a woman, who is advertising his medical services to minors and others… His practice is based in Shreveport and he put out a video on TikTok reaching out to transgenderists in Texas and Alabama particularly, saying, “Safe harbor is here; I got your back.”
He is proving the point that Fred Mills will make Louisiana “an oasis,” providing trans surgery and other services in the Southeast.
Mills enjoys the support of transgender people like Peyton here:
How have people come to believe that gender can be “wrong”? That a child can be born into “the wrong body”? That amputating healthy body parts corrects this naturally-occurring “error”?
Without hyperbole, the social media-driven fad of transgenderism that has gripped the imaginations of young people threatens our culture like no other force on Earth.
We understand that our coverage of the quickly-moving events surrounding Fred Mills’ vote has bombed your email account, but this matter is of such significance that it’s unavoidable.
Thank you for your patience with us and thank you for taking the great interest you’ve taken regarding this very important matter.
