Only last week, the US Supreme Court rejected Derek Chauvin’s appeal of his conviction of killing the drug addict felon George Floyd.
Just yesterday, I discovered a remarkable documentary, “The Fall of Minneapolis,” which reveals far more video than you’ve ever seen of the arrest of Floyd - arrested by a black officer, by the way, not by Chauvin - and body camera footage from an earlier arrest of Floyd, where he put on the same act as the fateful day he died. You’ll also see footage of the evacuation of the Third Precinct and learn more about the judge who sentenced Chauvin, the soy boy mayor of Minneapolis, and the autopsy of George Floyd.
So it’s particularly upsetting to learn tonight that Derek Chauvin has been stabbed and is reported to be in serious condition.
His race-motivated conviction is an American injustice. His sentence is criminal. Kept in solitary isolation, Derek Chauvin sits in a jail cell with no books, no TV, no human contact.
George Floyd (literally) ate enough drugs to kill a horse and would have died from overdose even if Derek Chauvin had never placed his knee on Floyd’s shoulder, performing an approved technique exactly as he had been trained to do.
Watch the documentary HERE - it’s free and very well done. I highly recommend it to you.
And please pray for Derek Chauvin, a good cop who was very wrongly convicted by a system controlled by evil fascists, especially the trial judge who should himself do decades in prison.
