Democrats Mischaracterize Louisiana Citizens' Views Based on Results of Badly Written Poll Questions on Abortion
The BEC fills in gaps, sets things straight, and offers different poll questions that align with reality
Ponder on this for a moment…
On the abortion issue, how would you classify yourself? Pro-Choice: 49% Pro-Life: 44% Undecided: 6% Louisiana doctors have reported that the state's abortion ban has prevented them from providing appropriate care for their pregnant patients. Would you support or oppose a law allowing a patient to obtain an abortion if, in a doctor's medical judgement, it is necessary to protect the patient's health? Support: 73% Oppose: 18% No opinion: 9% Would you support or oppose a law allowing abortion in cases of sexual offenses, such as rape or incest? Support: 70% Oppose: 22% No opinion: 8% Louisiana's laws punish doctors with up to 15 years in prison for providing abortions. Do you support or oppose doctors going to prison for prescribing medication or performing a medical procedure that is safe and wanted? Oppose: 59% Support: 31% No opinion: 10% With the Supreme Court overturning the Roe-v-Wade abortion decision, would you support or oppose an amendment to the Louisiana Constitution that establishes a right to an abortion? Strongly support: 42% Support: 11% Oppose: 11% Strongly oppose: 30% No opinion: 6%
State Representative Mandie Landry claims “the numbers prove it.” (And this while she’s callously drawing parallels between abortion and smoking herb.)
In reality, the numbers of this poll “prove” nothing, Ms Landry.
Consider this question recently asked by the same pollster, JMC Analytics and Polling, but in a different poll. How do the Democrats square this result with those above:
The phrasing of the questions about abortion are totally biased and “leading” …
“Do you support doctors going to prison for prescribing medication?”
That’s just freakish, let’s be honest. And since two can play at this game, consider the results if the questions were written not as they are from the abortionist’s vantage point, but from the unborn child’s point of view:
Q 1: On abortion as post-pregnancy birth control, how would you classify yourself?
Q 2: A small number of profit-driven, abortion-mill doctors in Louisiana have made the claim that the state’s law preventing the killing of a healthy fetus has prevented them from providing appropriate care to their pregnant patients. Without defining “appropriate care” or “medical judgement” or “a patient’s health” do you agree that profit-driven abortionists should be influencing patients with their medical judgement about their patient’s health?
Q 3: In the extremely rare instance of a rape and subsequent pregnancy, do you support the solution being the death of the innocent unborn child, especially when adoption services are freely offered to the woman, who may choose to keep and love the child she carries to term?
Q 4: Do you support or oppose doctors who took an oath to “Do no harm” going to prison for prescribing a pill or performing a procedure that kills a healthy and defenseless child, a child who does not want his or her life ended, a child who would prefer to live if it were “heard” and represented in this conversation?
Q 5: The United States Supreme Court has ruled that abortion is not a federal issue, pushing the matter back to states. Legislators represent the opinions of their constituents. Do you object to our representative form of government?
There is nothing worthwhile to derive from this poll, so democrats are pushing it, of course.
It’s quite clear that the people of our state have expressed a broad opposition to terminating healthy pregnancies as a matter of convenience and the people of Louisiana want the well-being of unborn children considered in state law.
As is so often the case, Progressive Leftist Democrats get people killed by the millions… and do so shamelessly. These are the same people who want to trans your kids, mutilate their bodies and chemically castrate them… the same people telling kids they have no future on this planet because of CO2… telling kids to mask their faces and sit silently at lunch six feet apart from their friends. These people want to deprive children of the confidence and calm that comes with knowing that Objective Truth exists. So of course they have no qualms aborting children!
(On a side and pointed note, it is literally true and not some urban myth that more black babies are aborted than born in New York, the bluest of blue states. And California, blue too, is marketing itself as an abortion destination, with grants being made available to help women travel there to terminate the lives of their unborn children.)
My characterizations of the transgressive abortionists are not hyperbolic.
At The BEC, we call out these beasts and give them no room to hide from their terrible life-depriving ideas.
