There’s been a lot of new enthusiasm for nuclear power, and to keep members of The BEC at the forefront of knowledge on this essential energy source, we’re presenting in this Curated Viewing List a wonderful conversation with His Excellency Mohammed Al Hammadi, the CEO of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation.
While the UAE - an oil rich nation - is moving at a speedy pace to include nuclear power in their energy mix, energy-deficient Germany is shutting down its remaining nuclear power stations, a decision that will result in ‘energy suicide.’
We here in the US need to follow the lead of the UAE, and not Germany. We also need to fully skip over Solar/Wind/Battery - avoid them like the plague they are - as these are unproductive at scale and create only problems, not solutions, in creating clean, cheap, and reliable energy.
We fully understand that the glowing and powerful media-driven messages coming at you about S/W/B are different from our assessment, but those messages deceive you.
It’s to be noted that Georgia Power has constructed and opened the Vogtle complex, putting two more reactors into their energy mix. I encourage you all to learn more about that HERE.
There were problems in the process of building the Vogtle reactors. Hear about those issues in a very frank and candid conversation here…
None of the problems cannot be bypassed and fixed moving forward, and more experience, globally and domestically, will go very far in correcting those issues.
Removing barriers to the experience of building reactors will create benefits, too. Our government MUST encourage and enable a Nuclear Renaissance!
You’ll likely find it fascinating to hear about the depth of planning that went into the UAE nuclear project.
Enjoy!
HERE is a remarkable source of information about Barakah and nuclear energy generally.
