As a 60 year old, I’ve lived through the variations in thinking about nutrition.
I remember being told that butter is unhealthy and Crisco and vegetable oils were better substitutes.
I remember “low fat” Oreo cookies.
I remember the government recommended Food Pyramid…
Eat a lot of breads and cereals; eat fat the least, they told us.
We’ve become an obese nation, and a nation of diabetics with heart disease, by following this food pyramid. Something about it seems very wrong.
Thankfully, attitudes seem to be changing. And I’m offering you a view of those changes in this film: “Fat Fiction,” available for free viewing on YouTube.
Remember: Fat doesn’t make you fat; sugar makes you fat. And the more sugar you eat, the more sugar you crave. The more fat you eat, the more fortified you feel and the fewer hunger pangs you will experience.
Be healthy, my friends…
