Homicide Victims: 120
Six homicide victims in the past week, largely concentrated in the Fourth District.
While this represents an overall decrease of 15% since 2022, we remain 114% above 2019 homicides.
Nonfatal Shooting Incidents: 199
There have been approximately 282 victims of nonfatal gunshot injuries in 2023, though this number is subject to change as investigations progress.
At the same time in 2022, there had been 218 shooting incidents and approximately 323 nonfatal shooting victims.

Carjacking Incidents: 83
Carjacking incidents are down 42% relative to 2022 – this is the biggest drop we have seen in any violent crime category since 2022.
This considerable decrease in carjacking coincides with a large (145%) increase in auto theft.

Armed Robbery: 218
Seven robbery incidents in the past week vs. 13 in the same week in 2022.
*Armed robbery continues to show a great deal of stability, save for a significant (+36%) increase relative to 2020, when the city was under COVID-19 lockdown.
In 2022, there were 1,565 reported auto thefts as of June 18th.
There have been at least 3,829 reported auto thefts to date in 2023, an increase of 145% since 2022.Â
This is an average of 23 stolen cars per day.
