BEC Potpourri - Sunday 5 October 23
A mix of items to present to you…
Donation of $1,350
I’m delighted to tell you that we’ve collected over $1300 and over 430 diapers to donate to ACCESS Pregnancy Centers. I don’t know if some processing fees will be subtracted, but I’ll keep you all posted about the final amount when we make the donation.
We asked for your help, and you all delivered!
THANK YOU!
I’m closing the GiveSendGo campaign tomorrow night (Monday), so if you have not yet donated and would like to, please donate by clicking here.
On a related note, I’m aware that I’ve not yet posted the video of meeting the owners of Second Line Brewers. Substack is a bit glitchy with video posting and I’m working with the great man who made that video happen to get the video into the proper format for posting. It’s in process.
HOME DEFENSE FOUNDATION Meeting Tuesday Night
HDF has announced this Tuesday for their next meeting… everyone is invited and I encourage you all to attend. The Home Defense Foundation does truly great work, preserving your Second Amendment rights and teaching gun safety. Please do attend; you’ll be glad you did, and join the HDF.
The coffee shop is in Old Metairie Village, at 701 Metairie Road
BEC Central received a call this past Friday. Global Temperatures wanted to let us know that they would not be in attendance at the HaSizzle-Lewis event in Armstrong Park, the “defining moment” in the struggle to create climate justice, force governments to force Big Oil to “pay up!" so we all don’t die, and to lower those Global Temperatures. GT has no taste for bounce music and wanted no part of the event, however. They also told us HaSizzle creeped them out with all that tongue sticking out stuff!
Evidently, a great many others were not in attendance either, though brainwashed children at the art tent left behind a lot of garbage to toss out…
The bec has now endured the indignity of being “doxxed,” this as a consequence of stating that nuclear power is reliable while solar power is not reliable. The doxxer is a lawyer, a husband, a father of three, holds degrees in philosophy and religious studies, and is the policy director of the Alliance For Affordable Energy.
On Twitter, I saw a post from the guy bemoaning that rural Louisiana parishes were rejecting the expansion of solar farms in their areas. I praised the people of the rural parishes and that was all it took!
I deleted my posts/replies once I realized he would become very aggressive and unhinged. Here’s a taste of what this religious-studying lawyer father of three dishes out to people on social media who think slightly differently from him:
He seems nice.
Though I have reported on pro-Hamas demonstrations in the area, I’ve not posted much on the conflict and other aspects of the Israel - Palestine situation.
I am proudly a Zionist; the existence of Israel is vital for world peace.
Listen to Douglas Murray drop Truth Bombs, one after another, in a conversation out just today. I think you all will appreciate Murray’s sentiments.
The well of gratitude runs deep, everyone.
Thank you all for your incredible support of The Big Easy Conservative.
