Vote!
Turnout will be low, so your vote matters all the more!
Despite some debate and misgivings, Nancy Landry gets the vote for secretary of state, staying within party.
Let’s give Louisiana a full slate…
Liz Murrill for attorney general and John Fleming for treasurer.
Makes sense.
But the amendment votes … they always prompt a wonder.
“Why am I voting on this?”
(Thanks to PAR)
Amendment One
… allows lawmakers to try to override a governor’s bill rejections [veto] without calling a separate veto session if they are already in a legislative session, and add further details about the deadlines for a governor to veto bills.
… to vote ‘no’ requires lawmakers trying to override a governor’s bill rejections to hold a separate veto session if the vetoes came in a legislative session that has ended, and keep the current rules for a governor to issue bill vetoes.
Amendment Two
… removes six inactive funds with zero or near-zero balances from the Louisiana Constitution.
… to vote ‘no’ keeps the six inactive funds with zero or near-zero balances in the Louisiana Constitution.
Amendment Three
… allows a parish governing authority to give an extra property tax exemption to police, firefighters and certain other first responders who own homes and live in the parish.
… to vote ‘no’ maintains the current property tax system, which doesn’t let parish governing authorities offer the extra tax break to first responders.
Amendment Four
… tightens the rules on allowed use of a seven-year-old state trust fund that collects dollars from corporate tax collections and oil and gas production in Louisiana.
… to vote ‘no’ maintains broad rules for emergency use of a seven-year-old state trust fund that collects dollars from corporate tax collections and gas production in Louisiana.
Joe Biden today claimed authority under the Defense Production Act to spend $169MM on electric heat pumps. Look at that picture there…
…and tell me what national defense you’re seeing. Just like a Sherman Tank.
Leftists are coming after all the things hot…
President Biden invoked a Cold War-era law in a surprising move Friday to pour taxpayer funds into domestic manufacturing of electric heat pumps, an alternative to gas-powered residential furnaces.
In a joint announcement with the White House, the Department of Energy (DOE) said the federal government would award a "historic" $169 million for nine projects across 15 sites nationwide in an effort to accelerate electric heat pump manufacturing. The significant level of funding was made possible after Biden utilized the 1950 Defense Production Act (DPA) to increase domestic production of green energy technologies.
Today Speaker Johnson released the J6 tapes, thousands of hours worth.
Contrast these actions - Biden’s and Johnson’s - for a distinction between parties and between the current and former Speaker of the House.

Ms Cravins is Davante Lewis’ chief of staff…
How can people think like this? It’s all so awkward with leftists, walking on egg shells all the time and everywhere, even amongst one another.
Can you believe?
LaToya Cantrell traveled to Africa.
All the leftists sound like Gretchen, whether Gretchen is real or not, whether this is a Shock-Parody account… doesn’t really matter. Whether Gretchen is a Gretchen doesn’t matter… as cynical as her ideas, the product is the post and the post is the product, not the person.
Sadly, I suspect she’s super-real; we all might know a Gretchen or three. If not now, you will soon.
7th October has hardened the walls between the sides; evil cut loose that day.
We’re in for a dark time ahead, nowhere near bottom yet. As bad as things seem, there’s a lot of room to worsen. Ascendant leftists break things.

Please Pray For the Dying and the Sick
I know a good man, 93, who’s in his last days. Another good man who today got a pacemaker.
As Thanksgiving comes, let’s pray for everybody who’s sick and suffering.
That it’s so easy to capture their mood…

Overall, I’m happy with this, but we need to get Secretary Of State elect Nancy Landry ‘s head right on the whole idea of electronic ballot marking devices (BMD’s), scanners, digital tabulators, early voting eliminate), and keep tight controls on our absentee and mail in ballots, ABSOLUTELY, no drop boxes! Ever.
