Average Out-of-State Donation: $383 -v- $140; Lewis: "I owe this victory to the people of Louisiana" -- Lewis' Donations Just As Corrupted As Boissiere's
One enthralled to the renewable energy industry, the other to traditional utility companies; both in the pocket of huge out-of-state energy interests, as inevitably, every PSC seat will be.
“Power to the People”
Number of Lewis' out-of-state contributors: 480 Average donation: $383 In-state contributors: 247 Average donation: $ 140 Lewis reported 16 donations of $5,000; 15 of the 16 are from out-of-state. Lewis seems to have raised about $180,000, augmented by the Environmental Defense Fund contributing between $1.1 and $1.5 million. Socialists endorsed his campaign. Lewis' donations - to be specific: Dark Money delivered to the campaign as "uncoordinated/unaffiliated with the candidate" money from the PAC associated with the Environmental Defense Fund. In other words, for all intents and purposes, from the renewable energy industry, working through aligned renewable/environmental PACs, these benefits and donations far exceed any donation given to Boissiere from any source, certainly traditional utilities. The cozy nature of this industry+government infatuation does not sit well, whether the industries be renewable or fossil fuel-based.
Lewis' 50,000 voters may ultimately cost more than $25 each, with unknown Democrat Party spending. Boissiere's votes cost about $8.30 each, with unknown and much-disputed Party spending. In a historically expensive PSC race, LAMBERT BOISSIERE raised about $300,000

Perhaps we should all admit to the corruption of the entire Louisiana Public Service Commission?
We don’t know, but we’re going to find out. And here at The BEC, we’re going to follow this commission quite closely.
The transgressive Left have found a cheap way into Louisiana’s energy policy.
Davante rang thin on election night:
“Tonight, the people of Louisiana start taking our power back. … I owe this victory to the people of Louisiana and their commitment to a brighter, cleaner, and 100% renewable future.”
