An Unmatched Narcissism
Davante Lewis is not only the state's most dangerous political official, he's the state's worst narcissist
We have mentioned before that Davante Lewis posts about himself with such excess that if we reported all of it to you, you’d grow not merely bored but it would irk you to read The BEC, so corrosive is the power of his narcissism.
This evening, Davante posted the sad news of the death of his cousin, put to rest yesterday.
We offer our condolences to the Lewis Family in your time of loss. Death is always hard, and your family member died at far too young an age.
Remarkably, but predictably, even in the death of a cousin, Davante worms in a way to boast of himself.
This narcissism is precisely why Davante Lewis poses such a profound danger to the citizens of Louisiana.
This man sits for six years on the commission that determines your energy; his seat was purchased for him by Big Renewable to the tune of two million dollars. He has no background in engineering, in how physical systems operate. He has been a political nerd his whole life; he is unqualified to sit on the Public Service Commission. But elections have consequences, so here we find ourselves.
I’ve studied this man for many months now… his ego and narcissism truly know no bounds. On the sad occasion of the death of his cousin, Davante features not an accomplishment of the deceased young man, but an accomplishment of his own:
I am expecting to receive an email or two over this post, telling me I’m rude or insensitive, that I get too personal and give Davante too much of a hard time. I acknowledge the appearance of that.
But there is nothing - nothing - that Davante will not make about himself. Indeed, even the death of a young cousin.
His every decision regarding the energy available to you will be made not with you and your family in mind, not to benefit you. Of course not.
His every decision, his every vote, will derive from his gazing at his own reflection.
And we have to endure this man’s excesses for six years.
True politics and what political science should be died a long time ago. The corruption that passes for politics (and politicians) today has become a winner-takes-all, high-stakes game. It will destroy this country, and make slaves of us all. And I do mean all, regardless . . . .
