Amended Recall Bill Passes the LA House

Heads to the Senate

Initial reports coming in that HB 212 has passed the Louisiana House in a vote of 71-29.

The bill was amended, however, as the threshold needed to force a recall has been changed from 30% to 50% of the voters in the most recent election.

Though we are disappointed with this increase, we welcome the passage of the bill today.

We extend our gratitude to those of you who sent emails to our elected officials in support of this very important effort.
