Metropolitan Crime Commission Weekly Crime Report

Though it seems there’s been some improvement in auto theft, only the “official” number offers that cause for optimism. When victims have waited many hours, they often don’t report, so a more accurate tally is: 761 thefts plus 127 more… 888, about 31 per day.

Homicides: 25
Shootings: 39
Carjackings: 20
Armed Robbery: 45
